A great summer makeup tip from my fabulous friend Julio Sandino at NARS Cosmetics :
on the palm of your hand, mix a bit of your SPF face cream, and a tad of your slightly darker foundation. (Apply to your face). This combo together will block the sun, and will give you a glowing, smooth coverage for the day!

On the topic of "tips," I was wondering if you had any advice you could give me regarding tattoos. I happen to have a few, and was wondering if this could significantly affect my chances of getting certain roles. Please advise :)

Hi there Siobahnbahn! Z'up!
I actually haven't sung with anybody (on the Opera stage) with a visible tatoo , but of course, I probably didn't notice; Part of the reason is that opera makeupe, and a smartly designed costume, could pretty much cover just about anything.
I wouldn't ADVICE a young singer to go ahead and get a tatoo on their forehead, but if you already have a couple (and you don't want them removed), I would just make sure that they are covered and well hidden when you do an audition. (I find that the people auditionig you, Usually don't want to see any look that's out of the ordinary... yawn...) But once you get the part; It's the makeup person who'd have to deal with the craft of hiding it .
